Design

We design spidroin genes inspired by natural spider spidroins and tailor them to suit specific applications.

Extract

We have refined and developed an efficient process for the expression and purification of spidroin proteins, maximizing yields while minimizing costs.

Fabrication

We have developed a biomimetic spinning process for artificial spider silk production, yielding high-quality spider silk fibers.

Current Focus

We are currently focused on developing spider silk fibers that exhibit exceptional tensile strength and significantly improved breaking energy. These enhanced properties will allow the silk to endure greater loads and resist breaking under extreme conditions. Our primary objective is to engineer a biomaterial that not only withstands high levels of stress but also maintains its structural integrity, making it ideal for various high-performance applications. By optimizing these fibers, we aim to create a material capable of handling intense mechanical forces without compromising durability.

Surya Pratap Seniya, with an analytical mindset, holds a Ph.D. in biological sciences from IISER Bhopal and has comprehensive expertise in recombinant DNA technology, including the expression and purification of bacterial proteins.

Yashaswi Singh, Ph.D.

Co-founder

Yashaswi Singh, with an intuitive approach, holds a Ph.D. in biological sciences from IISER Pune and has done significant work in the recombinant expression and purification of tarantula toxins.

Satabdee Mishra

Research Assistant

Satabdee Mishra, a bright and highly determined individual, holds a dual B.Tech and M.Tech degree in Biotechnology from KIIT University and has extensive experience across various aspects of startups and research.
